Let me tell you all about my tastes. I like talky games, sad robots, and narratives that lean heavy on metafiction. Unlike the rest of the entire internet, left trigger/right trigger, soulslikes, and roguelike deck builders aren’t well represented here.
While I was lucky enough to write about video games at other outlets, I was usually expected to cover more mainstream fair, so my chances to showcase my faves were few and far between. With an outlet of our own, I wanted to ensure that the games that meant the most to me got their due.
These games aren’t obscure, not by a long shot, but they’re pretty far from what gets ink these days. And since we’re not constantly on the hunt for SEO traffic, we get to explore games that aren’t the new hotness, and give them some extra love.
